Cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants told to close

As hospitality is put on lockdown, chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a number of measures to protect jobs and businesses throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Under ’The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme,’ the Government has pledged to cover 80% of employee wages, to extend the interest-free period for loans from six to twelve months, and defer VAT payments until the end of the financial year.
