Tim Hortons, Tortilla and Itsu are among the big-name brands lined up to speak at the MCA’s Food to Go Conference on 7 March 2023.
The annual event will take place at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho and will feature a full-day programme of presentations and Q&As with headline speakers, insight sessions and panel discussions, as well as the chance for delegates to network with their peers in the sector.
Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer, Tim Hortons UK & Ireland will share how the business has achieved success with its drive-thru and high street formats, how it’s adapted and marketed the brand in the UK and why it has the confidence to accelerate its growth strategy.
In a Q&A session Tortilla’s chief executive Richard Morris will discuss how a strong brand identity and great proposition has helped transport the fast-casual Mexican restaurant from a single site in Islington to a listing on AIM, how the pandemic has benefited the brand from a property perspective and the opportunities that still lie ahead.
While Ganan Kanagathurai, UK CEO, Itsu, will give a presentation on the brand’s comprehensive, customer-led approach. He will discuss how Itsu moved quickly on digital channels, bringing data together on Itsu’s in-store and retail customers, and why he sees tech as the enabler rather the solution for an omnichannel strategy.
Many more sessions and speakers will be announced over the coming weeks.
