Tragus, the operator of Strada and Café Rouge, has announced a new partnership with Barclaycard on its Freedom Rewards card scheme. It said that the new scheme would allow Barclaycard customers the chance to redeem reward points collected on Freedom Rewards card at all of its 286 branches of Café Rouge, Strada, and Bella Italia. The group joins around 70 other high street brands, including Marks and Spencer, Starbucks, Topshop, Currys PC World, iTunes, Amazon and Leisure Voucher partners Legoland and LA Fitness, who are taking part in the scheme. Jemima Bird, marketing director for Tragus, said: “We are extremely excited to participate in this UK-wide scheme. With so many restaurants to choose from, Freedom Reward cardholders will always find a location to enjoy a great meal with us, and have the option to eat out by making the most of their reward points.” The group, which last month entered into a partnership with Nectar, the UK’s largest loyalty programme, said that the scheme would introduce a “new payment option for existing customers to enjoy their favourite restaurant brands, and open an avenue for acquiring new ones”. Nick Clements, managing director for UK Consumer Cards, Barclaycard, said: “Giving customers choice, ease and great value is at the heart of our rewards offering. I’m delighted to confirm Tragus as a partner for the Barclaycard Freedom Rewards card. Cafe Rouge, Strada and Bella Italia represent the best of high street dining so the chance to earn triple rewards points at Tragus’ restaurants is great news for Barclaycard Freedom Rewards card customers. So too is the chance to redeem reward points from everyday spending to help towards the cost of a family meal out.”
