JDW eyes Ireland debut

JD Wetherspoon is close to securing its first pub in Ireland, in Dublin, and has made offers on a number of outlets in the Republic. The managed operator has confirmed reports that it’s looking to spend €1 million buying the freehold of the Tonic pub in Blackrock. Contracts are expected to be signed over the next week
