Karen Bosher, hospitality consultant and ex Greene King MD will host a panel of dynamic women leaders to discuss diversity and inclusion for the pub sector, at this year’s Pub Conference.
The annual event takes place at a brand-new venue this year, The Ham Yard Hotel, London and will feature a full day of presentations and panels, including Q&As with leaders in the pub and bar sector.
With content focused precisely upon the needs of multi-site leaders, the Pub Conference brings them face to face with industry specialists, analysts, investors, industry watchers and suppliers for a full day of insight and networking.
In this panel, Bosher will ask how pub companies best manage and enable neurodiversity and encourage discussion around what the future looks like for greater inclusivity in pub sector leadership, to include women and other under-represented groups.
The former Greene King managing director brings experience as a successful executive board director across hospitality, retail and sport, having held senior roles at JJB Sports and Mothercare.
The session is set to include insight from Karen Bates, global people director, BrewDog, who has responsibility for the people agenda across the International BrewDog group. Prior to joining BrewDog, Bates was the People Director at Costa Coffee, with responsibility for the transition of Costa Coffee from Whitbread to Coca-Cola, a major transformation project as part of the £3bn sale.
Also on the panel is Rachel Masing, people director at ETM, who has held senior roles within the hospitality sector for 18 years. She joined ETM in 2018 and has previously held people and development leadership roles at GAUCHO and CAU Restaurants
She will be joined by Monique Samra, people experience manager at Fuller’s, whos areas of expertise include talent acquisition, coaching & development, and development of policies and company staff handbooks. Alongside, Franki Hale, chief people officer at Wells & Co, and the founder of Sonder Associates and an experienced executive board member and advisor.
Other highlights of the day include sessions from Wetherspoons chairman Sir Tim Martin, Greene King CEO Nick Mackenzie and Stonegate CEO David McDowall. With £100m of new funding from Alchemy Partners, and fresh from being promoted to CEO, Brasserie Bar Co’s Richard Ferrier will also join The Pub Conference line-up.
