Ireland-based restaurant chain Camile Thai Group has appointed Daniel Greene as its new chief executive.

Green takes over the CEO role at Camile from Brody Sweeney, who has stepped back from daily operations at the company, having founded it in 2010.

Sweeney will remain a majority shareholder in the company, RTE reports.

Camile Thai now includes 50 locations across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. It recently opened a new outlet at Terminal 2 in Dublin Airport after a partnership with Circle K which established three Petite Camile food-to-go formats within their service station network.

With over a decade of experience in key leadership roles within the company, including as managing director, Camile said Greene is exceptionally well-equipped to steer the group towards an ambitious expansion of its franchise network.

In his new capacity as CEO, Greene will prioritise expanding the Camile Thai franchise network and growing the footprint of its new Indian concept, Thindi.

Innovations at the company also include the addition of a new robotic wok system to support kitchen staff, currently being trialled at one of its Dublin locations.

Camile Thai is also expanding its partnership with Manna Drones, aiming to deliver from several new locations by the end of the year.
