Pizza brand Sbarro is to open the UK’s first dedicated drive-thru for pizza this week in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire.

The 750 sq ft site will offer XL slices of Sbarro’s New York-style pizza, also available via click-and-collect and delivery.

It is the brand’s 16th location in the UK and will be operated by master franchisee for Sbarro UK, EG On The Move, a company set up by EG Group last year to manage its retained forecourts.

The drive-thru will further serve a choice of flavours including traditional cheese and tomato, pepperoni, and Firecracker Chicken pizza, made with hand-stretched dough, as well as a range of sides including garlic breadsticks, drinks, and desserts.

It will also launch a new breakfast range, featuring a new breakfast pizza and breakfast Strombolini with sausage or ham, egg, and cheese.

Founded in 1956 and launched in the UK in 2020, Sbarro is known for its XL New York-style pizza slices and looks to grow further in UK.

Lorna Watts, UK marketing manager at Sbarro, said: “The launch of the UK’s only drive-thru dedicated to pizza marks a milestone for the Sbarro team and we are pleased to be part of their UK expansion.
