Emma Woods, chief executive of Wagamama has been named Retailer’s Retailer of the Year at MCA’s 2021 Retailer’s Retailer Awards.
The coveted accolade, which is peer voted, was revealed during the live broadcast of the awards today (11 March) – streamed online for the first time.
The awards, hosted by comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner, saw 10 other awards handed out during the ceremony. Best Company went to Nando’s, Dishoom once again retained its title of Best Concept, and the Evolution Award went to BrewDog.
Bob Ivell, non-executive chairman at Mitchells & Butlers, was the worthy recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, while the Hero Award – a new award for 2021 – was given to Suzanne Baker, commercial and property director at Stonegate Pub Company, with Adelle Taylor, operations director at Côte Restaurants recognised with a Highly Commended award.
