Bewiched Coffee has lined up a further four openings for 2024, according to managing director Matt Fountain.
The independent business currently operates c20 coffee shops across the Midlands, in Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, and Cambridgeshire.
It opened its second drive-thru this week in Glenvale Park, Wellingborough, and will open another drive-thru location later this year, as well as sites in Northampton Grosvenor, Leamington Parade, and Bedford.
Speaking to MCA earlier this year, Fountain said the business was shifting focus to drive-thrus for its next expansion steps, with the intention of focusing on secondary sites to avoid bidding wars.
Bewiched is also eyeing several high street sites as part of a goal announced in early 2023 to open 15 stores over five years.
Many of these will be in partnership with franchise partner Heart of England Co-operative Society, with which Bewiched also launched a new ‘express’ offer in Rugby.
Writing on LinkedIn, Fountain said: “By our standards it’s an extremely busy time for new store openings, with five this year.
“This brings its own challenges, that our small but dynamic senior team are yet again rising too admirably.”
